What does Gold Filled Mean
Gold-filled jewelry is more dependable than gold-plated or vermeil because 1/20 of the piece’s total weight is solid gold. Gold plated items contain less that 1/200 of the pieces total weight in solid gold. It is also heat and mechanically bonded to enhance its strength. This means gold filled jewelry survives much longer than pieces subjected to other coating methods, lasting decades to a lifetime of wear before the base metal starts to show.
Gold-filled jewelry is marked with a “GF” and sometimes shows the proportion of gold in its total weight, presented as a fraction.

Hi, I'm LuAnn Reichow, I have been creating jewelry since my teens. Along with my husband, who is also a jewelry designer, we owned a jewelry store that specialized in diamonds, engagement rings, and custom designed fine jewelry. I'm excited to finally be able to share my passion for jewelry with the world. I design all of my 14k yellow gold filled jewelry by hand using semi-precious gems. My jewelry is affordable, fun, and durable. I want my customers to be able to wear my jewelry every day, not only on special occasions.
